REMARKABLE’s story
REMARKABLE’s story began in 2020.
The pandemic’s onset was an event horizon for experiential art and entertainment. It forever shifted our thinking of what experiential productions could be.
At the time, Laura Hess pursued all things immersive, from brand activations and immersive theatre, to art installations, escape rooms, themed entertainment, and more. She later set a specific goal: to explore 500 experiences within five years, which she accomplished by the end of 2024.
Along the way there were two inflection points: On the Wings of Hermès and We Are Collider’s MARVELS framework. Both shaped what was to come.
On the Wings of Hermès was an in-person production by the French luxury brand Hermès. It was an outlier because it didn’t check the boxes of traditional KPIs. It was experiential marketing without the marketing. On paper, it was a brand activation. In person, it was a deeply moving piece of art.
We Are Collider is a UK-based creative agency. In 2023, Anton Jerges, its founder and CEO, gave a presentation to members of the World Experience Organization. In his talk he outlined the excellent mix of qualitative and quantitative research his agency had compiled into a white paper. We Are Collider turned this research into the MARVELS design framework. Its influence on REMARKABLE’s development was invaluable.
For Laura, her initial inquiry evolved into a larger investigation. A personal project became a quest to measure impact. A constellation of questions and ideas created a new way of capturing ROX (Return on Experience).
REMARKABLE™ is a new diagnostic tool and standardized evaluation methodology that offers deeper, specific insight into event sentiment and emotional resonance. It quantifies ROX, alongside traditional evaluation metrics and emergent biometric data.
It can identify the specific nature of an experience and assess its performance. The framework captures emotional resonance; it fills in gaps from traditional metrics and offers deeper insight into why and how an experience was successful.
Now, with an industry index of 800+ productions, it has become an essential asset for all stages: ideation, development, testing, and postmortem evaluation. REMARKABLE supports the entire ecosystem of creatives, audiences, and the business bottom line.

Laura Hess is an award-winning strategist and ROX specialist.
She’s the founder of Reuleaux, an experiential consultancy based in Los Angeles. She helps brands, agencies, entertainment studios, and cultural institutions translate their vision into impactful, memorable moments for guests and audiences.
Utilizing her interdisciplinary background, her portfolio includes experiential marketing, themed entertainment, participatory theatre, film, VR, and installation art across physical, digital, and hybrid environments. She converts audience insights into measurable strategies that drive engagement, affinity, and business outcomes.
She’s the creator of the REMARKABLE™ framework and the author of the REMARKABLE Experience Reports. She’s a founding member of the World Experience Organization and the former arts editor of No Proscenium.

After completing a Master of Science in Leadership for Creative Enterprises at Northwestern University, she has no plans for another degree with a longer title.
